Questions parents ask

Does the app follow my child's school book?

Yes. Chapters are in the same order as the official textbook (Chapter 1 = Chapter 1). The explanations, examples and questions are our own; we do not copy textbook text or pictures.

Which chapters are ready?

See the book list on this page (and inside the app: More → Books in this app). Right now every chapter is free.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no login. Just add your child's name and class and start.

Is my child's data safe?

Progress and answers stay on your phone only. There are no ads and no tracking code. A few honest details:

Fonts load from Google Fonts, so the phone connects to Google to download them.
The 🎤 button uses the phone's own speech-to-text. In Chrome the voice may go to Google to turn it into text. It works only when the child taps the mic.
The app is hosted on Cloudflare, which may keep normal technical logs (such as IP address), like any website host.
Outside links open only after a parent check.

Is it free?

Yes, right now every chapter is open for free (free launch access). No payment or card needed for now.

Can I install it like an app?

Yes. Tap "Install" in the app (Chrome / Edge on Android, or "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone). It then opens like a normal app.

My child's school uses books from a private publisher. Will the app match?

Not chapter by chapter. Desktop N Study follows NCERT (CBSE), Balbharati (Maharashtra) and the CISCE curriculum (ICSE). Many topics (grammar, maths, science) are similar, but the chapter order and content of private-publisher books are different. Right now every chapter is free, so try the chapters you need and check the book list in the app.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Open the app once with internet, then your child can study even without internet. Internet is needed only to get new chapters.
